How to care
for your swim
for your swim
Easy, earth-friendly tips from our experts…
1.
After swimming, rinse your suit in cool water. If you have time, let it soak for 30 minutes to help remove any chemicals, salt, sand or sunscreen.
2.
Spot clean any stains with a small amount of detergent or dish soap.
3.
Don’t put a wet swimsuit in a plastic bag! Instead, wrap it in a towel or cloth tote bag to prevent odors.
4.
Handwashing in cool water is the gentlest way to clean your swimsuit, but if you want to machine wash, use a microfilter washing bag. It will protect your suit and prevent microfibers from entering the waterways.
5.
Avoid using bleach or harsh detergents—instead, look for ones that are designed for synthetic materials like nylon or delicates.
6.
Always air-dry your swimsuits. It’s gentler and prevents greenhouse gas emissions. Leave your suit to dry on a flat surface out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.
7.
Try to wash or rinse your swimsuits after every wear.
